Mediation
Professional, fair and non-judgemental mediation, conducted by trained mediators, with the goal of resolving workplace conflict.
Professional, judgement-free mediation services
Interpersonal conflict in the workplace can adversely impact the mental health and well-being of employees and also affect workplace culture. Mediation is a consulting service that provides an opportunity for parties to resolve conflict through a healthy facilitated discussion process. At Working Life, we offer a streamlined mediation process designed to relieve stress and find the optimal solution for all involved.
Safe and controlled environment
Mediations are held in a safe, controlled setting with a strong focus on psychological health and safety. Our mediation process aligns with workplace conduct and organisational justice, ensuring all parties feel secure and respected throughout the discussion.
Expert Facilitation
Our qualified, trained mediators act as independent and impartial third parties. They facilitate open discussions with employees to better understand differences, successfully diffuse situations and resolve conflicts between colleagues.
Process of mediation sessions
In order to achieve the best possible outcome and reduce the stress and anxiety associated with workplace conflicts, our experienced mediators follow a professional process designed to ensure all parties feel heard.
-
Referral and initial meeting
The mediation process begins with a referral and the provision of key information about the parties involved. Consent from all parties is required to proceed. The mediator and employer then hold a preliminary meeting to discuss the conflict and plan the mediation process.
-
Individual sessions
Each conflicting party participates in one-on-one sessions with the mediator, which provides an opportunity to share their perspective and gain an understanding of the mediation process and what they can expect from their participation in mediation.
-
Joint mediation session
The mediator then facilitates a joint meeting with both parties. During this session, the mediator guides the discussion to ensure it remains constructive and focused on finding a resolution. The goal is to facilitate open communication, mutual understanding and an agreeable solution for both parties.
